Swamp of Lerna
The Swamps Of Lerna
The terrifying swamp of Lerna is where Hydra the 9 headed monster lives. The soggy ground of Lerna gives rise to slow bubbles emerging from the ground. The smell of horrifying swamp gives a heavy sweetish smell which will give anyone i mean anyone a crazy illusion. The moment you stick your feet into the soggy ground you will start to sink. The swamp was covered with a thick dark mist that was thick as the trees in the swamp. The swamp was dark and was filled with suspicious noises which mean even the Hydra might be lurking around. Never ever has a person seen the horrifying monster Hydra and made it out of the swamp alive. The terrible swamp of Lerna will make anyone who enters feel scared, frustrated and crazy due to extreme heat escaping from the ground. I hope you rethink your option of entering the horrifying swamp of Lerna.
Rational: I think that this paragraph i wrote was the best out of the three i wrote. The reason why I think this one was the best is because i used lots of emotion into this paragraph. Descriptives are more interesting in my opinion because they are written with more emotion. Descriptive paragraphs are also more in depth than other paragraphs like the Narrative and Optional paragraphs. I also like the story of The Swamp Of Lerna” It was written with lots of depth.
TEJ computer build
w1ww1 ww1 ww1 wThis is report outlines all the components of an optimal build for your Home Media Centre computer. We recommend the Intel Core i5-3450 Processor as your CPU because of its fast processor speed and graphics core speed, which will enhance the streaming and visual qualities for your offline and online media needs. Your hardware, the Western Digital Caviar Green, was chosen for its modest amount of internal memory for storing your downloaded movies. The Cosair RAM was chosen as you would be needing much RAM to stream movies as well as watch DVD’s and BluRays. As you would be needing connections to numerous modern display devices, the ASRock H61M/U3S3 Motherboard was chosen because it has an HDMI port, and also internal USB ports and multiple CPU Technologies. We chose the OCZ power supply because it has more connection plugs, and it has a larger fan which will be needed for long periods of movie watching. The CoolMaster case we recommend has more drives, expansion slots and most importantly, more fans to keep the computer cool when playing movies. The XFX video card is able to handle more information per cycle, and has more stream processors, making it faster. For your sound card, we chose the Asus model, mainly because it has a higher signal-to-noise ratio, meaning that there will be less distortion to the sound. Finally, we recommend the Windows 7 Home Premium as your software, because it has all the features you need for entertainment, and it is much more stable than Windows 8.
These specifications not only allow, but enhance actions such as online video/movie streaming, storage of movies on computer for later access, and watching HD and BLU-RAY videos and movies whether it is from your hardrive or online. Please consider this build we have put together for you, as we believe it is perfect for your home media centre.
AND WE NEED THE CONCLUDING PARAGRAPH(S).

Total: $188.98
I chose to have more RAM as the client will be streaming movies as well as playing DVDs and Blurays (which needs more RAM). There are only two slots and I wanted to get 16GB RAM so the only choice was to get 2 x 8GB. Since DDR3 1600 isn’t supported, DDR3 1333 was chosen. (RAM comparison chart: http://bit.ly/SwxzlE)
The hardware was chosen based on the remnants of the budget. 2TB is a modest amount of internal memory and fit into the budget perfectly. (Hard Drive comparison chart: http://bit.ly/V3QoDv)

Case/PSU$300 24pin psu(Mathew)
PSU:

We chose the OCZ model over the Ultra X4 because it has a much larger fan than the Ultra X4 which will help keep the PSU much cooler so it was a much less chance to overheat while watching longer movies. They both have the 80% Bronze efficiency stamp. The OCZ ZT also has more connection plugs than the other model. It also is cheaper than the Ultra model.
Case:

We chose the CoolerMaster over the Corsair because the CoolerMaster has more fans than the Corsair which will help keep the inside cool while watching long movies and streaming. The CoolMaster also has one more drive and expansion slot than the Corsair. They both have tons of room inside the case for cables. The CoolMaster is USB 3.0 compatible while the Corsair is not. the CoolMaster is also $20 dollars cheaper than the Corsair.

I recommend the XFX HD-687A-ZHFC Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card over the ASUS HD7850-DC2-2GD5-V2 Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card because the XFX has a higher core clock letting it handle more information per cycle. The XFX also has more stream processors than the ASUS making it faster. The ASUS may have a bigger memory size than the XFX but for a home media system you won’t need a higher memory size unless you want to use a lot of monitors. Also, the XFX is cheaper than the ASUS.

The Home Premium has all the features you need for entertainment. Window 8 is unstable and it is in beta version. The Windows 8 has a new feature called Metro Start Screen, it was really confusing when i used it. Everything got moved around. It is just like the IDevices. You have a icon on your Home Screen with all your basic applications. At the end Windows 7 is more easy to use than Windows 8.
If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:
1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher drive
Surviving on a Island
Surviving on an Island Assignment
Taskmaster: Tyler -- keeps members focused on task.
Recorder: Annie -- takes notes during the decision-making process.
Reporter: Annie -- Lists in order of importance the statements made by group members and will later report the thinking behind group decisions
Reviewer: Xavier -- Seeks clarity and meaning in what is being stated by members.
Gatekeeper: Chuming -- Makes sure all members contribute.
The Decision-Making Process Notes
Punishments should be dealt to the rule-breakers
Sharing is caring
We should help each other out
We should try to please the members of the community to the best of our ability
No violence
Food should be distributed to all members of this community, as long as they follow the rules and work
Chores should be done in a daily rotation
If violence becomes the norm, people will panic
Nobody should be allowed to violate others’ human rights.
In order to not be violent, no external injuries should be dealt to rule-breakers
Humans are good if they are in a community
Humans can become selfish if they’re not satisfied
Punishment should be missing meals
Leaders should be selected through voting. And elections should be fair.
In a state of emergency, people are allowed to overturn a rule
list of chores/tasks - food and water gathering, cooking and washing dishes, exploring the island (in 2s, to avoid casualties), laundry and cleaning up
Order of Importance of Statements/ Ideas
Nobody should be allowed to violate others’ human rights.
This is because even while we are far away from society, we are still human. Because we are still human, human rights still apply to us, and we still have no rights to trample on others’ basic human rights
In a state of emergency, people should be allowed to overturn a rule
In a state of emergency, such as for self defense, a person should be allowed to protect themselves. Also, when a person is sick and cannot perform their chores, they should still be allowed to eat
Leaders should be selected through voting. And elections should be fair
This is so that everybody’s opinion is considered
In order to not be violent, no external injuries should be dealt to rule-breakers
This is so that we do not encourage any violence. (Except for in the case of an emergency)
Punishment should be missing meals
Because no external harm should be done, an internal punishment like missing a meal or two should be dealt.
No violence
This is so that we do not physically harm or injure one another
Punishments should be dealt to the rule-breakers
This is to show that rules are important, and that there are consequences to breaking them
Food should be distributed to all members of this community, as long as they follow the rules and work
This is to encourage members of the community to work, and to follow the rules. (Kind of like bribing them with the necessities to live, in exchange for obedience)
We should try to please the members of the community to the best of our ability
The thinking behind this idea is that if all members of the community are happy, there will be less conflicts
Chores should be done in a daily routine
This is so that nobody gets frustrated with their job (another way of violence prevention)
Rules
No matter what the situation, every human being is entitled to human rights. Violation of these rights will lead to consequences
Rules can be overturned in case of an emergency, but the overturning must first be approved by the leader
Leaders are to be selected through voting, and no bribing or threats or physical violence are to be applied before, during, or after the election process, by the election candidates.
A leader’s role is simply to gather the members of the community, and to make sure that issues are addressed, and that they are solved, with the help of mandatory input from all members of the society. The leader must also participate in completing the chores, and will be dealt the same consequences as the other members of the society if they fail to complete their daily task. The leader is to be treated the same way as all members of the society, and shall not be granted special permissions. They are not allowed to be exceptions to the rule
No physical violence is allowed, and any physical contact resulting in severe injuries will result in dire consequences
No external injuries shall be dealt to rule breakers as an official punishment
The punishment that will befall rule breakers will vary depending on which rule is broken, as well as the factors that led to the rule being broken. Therefore, punishments will vary depending on the situation
The common punishment for mild rule-breaking will be missing a meal, or receiving a very small serving of a meal, in order to avoid violence
Punishments are to be decided by a vote that includes every member of the community, except for the rule breaker
It is mandatory that as long as there is food, that the food be distributed amongst all human beings, as long as they follow the rules, and complete their assigned tasks
Tasks (or chores), are to be done in a daily rotation. Except for in the state of an emergency you will not be given food if you fail to complete the given tasks.
Chores that can be assigned are fixed, and the leader is only allowed to create new chores with the agreement of all members of the society
When making a choice that applies to every member of the community, input from all members of the community must be considered.
